"It's a Girl Thing!" - Saturday, February 23rd from 1:30 - 5:00
This 3 1/2 hour mother - daughter puberty seminar uses an interactive PowerPoint presentation, products demonstration, and Q & A. Often described by attendees as "Stand-Up Puberty," be prepared to laugh as you learn! Age-appropriate for 4th - 6th graders, the physical and emotional basics about female puberty will be covered during this class. Male anatomy/puberty (other than a couple of necessary facts), personal practices, abstinence/contraception, STDs, etc. are not covered; those are discussions for you to continue at home. This special event is open to all mothers and daughters, not just Alpha Chis and legacies, so tell your friends! Find separate registration, more information, and a class outline at www.sisterhoodseminars.com Linda Sheldone is a nurse, mother, wife, Girl Scout leader, serial volunteer, and an initiate of Rho Chapter at the University of Washington in Seattle. After a career as a paramedic, she retired when she was five months pregnant and decided to put her nursing degree to use. Her experience as a medical educator and speaker (including past AXO programs like Talking About Alcohol and IMPACT), combined with her love for mentoring (past advisory positions for Iota Nu, Iota Tau, and Iota Xi), made starting her own business on women's topics, Sisterhood Seminars, a natural choice. Linda currently serves as the Director of Province Alumnae Chairs. She lives in Carlsbad with her husband, Mark (a Beta Theta Pi from UC, Irvine), and their daughter, Alyssa. |
